One Iota bringing the full line up to Cambridge Rock Festival’s Emerald Stage
It was fantastic to be able to take the songs from the new album on the road this summer, and our show at the legendary Cambridge Rock Festival was a real highlight. Taking to the Emerald Stage, we performed to a really enthusiastic crowd of music-lovers and were lucky enough to be able to showcase the full 8-piece line up, including Andrew Prudames on saxophone, with Andy Smith (Mostly Autumn) kindly depping on bass for us. This marks the first time the band has ventured out of Yorkshire, and we couldn’t be more happy with the reception we received, and are looking forward to more performances further afield, with venues in Derby and London interested in putting dates in the diary. There were also plenty of radio presenters at the festival who seemed to take a shine to us, so we’re in discussions with a few radio stations to arrange live sessions later this year.
Overall, a brilliant first festival for us, with hopefully many more to come!
A huge thanks to Dave Roberts and his superb crew for having us, and we can’t wait to return next year, with even more new songs to road test!
