We are delighted to announce that our second album, Shadows in the Shade, is now available to preorder! Simply pop along to https://www.oneiota.uk/shop/ to choose from one of six options, depending on your level of support for the band. We've been working on pre-production for the past few months, writing new melodies, finding the right sounds and honing lyrics in our quest to push One Iota forwards, and we're now ready to hit the studio and get the next album made. The concept, as the name suggests, explores some real contrasts, and we think you'll really love what we've come up with. They say that second albums are notoriously difficult, and they're not wrong! Live at The Crescent
One Iota and Genius The Fool A great gig to brighten up a dark Sunday night in November at The Crescent Community Venue in York. Here's a short review of the night (thanks for the write-up Ike). This was a double-header event with two great bands playing an evening of unforgettable live music.Genius The Fool were first up, and although this was their much delayed debut gig there were no signs of nerves in the 7-piece line-up. They performed a great set with some amazing vocals from the girls and some awesome guitar work, finishing with a couple of Stolen Earth numbers - it was great to hear these being performed live once again. After a short break One Iota took to the stage and launched into a full-on set with songs from the "More Than You Take" …

Thanks for taking the time to do this David, the band really …

But it's now fully formed, and we're immensely proud of what we've achieved with the album. The 14 tracks of original numbers feature Adam, James, Andy, and Phil with their core 'guitar, bass, drums' instrumentation but supplemented by a variety of percussion, keyboard, and string instruments on selected tracks. There are even a couple of ukuleles in there on occasion, but all mixed in …
